Why I'm passionate about health

Teresa Spano ND, CNS, LDN holds a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and is licensed to practice nutrition in Florida. Serving clients in Southwest Florida and virtually across the state, she provides evidence-informed, holistic nutrition guidance. With over a decade of experience, Teresa specializes in supporting digestive health, hormone balance, metabolic wellness, and overall vitality. Her personal journey, including experiences with athletics, Crohn’s disease, and Interstitial Cystitis, shapes her empathetic approach and deep understanding of the challenges clients face.
Driven by her personal experiences with chronic illness, Teresa Spano ND, CNS, LDN pursued a career in Naturopathic Medicine. Her journey fuels a passion for helping others navigate their health challenges using a combination of evidence-informed nutrition, functional medicine principles, and holistic therapies.

Teresa empowers clients to take control of their health through personalized nutrition guidance tailored to their unique needs. With ongoing advanced training in functional medicine and integrative nutrition, she applies a deep understanding of the complex connections between diet, lifestyle, and overall wellness to guide individuals toward lasting health and vitality.

From 2015 to 2019, Teresa contributed to Lee Health’s Integrative Medicine program, helping create and implement integrative care services. Between 2019 and 2024, she led integrative consultations at SWFL Integrative Medicine. In March 2024, she opened her own practice, Spano Health & Wellness, to provide personalized, root-cause-focused nutrition guidance.

Teresa is also committed to education and advocacy in Naturopathic Medicine, aiming to help establish licensure for NDs in Florida. She regularly conducts workshops, seminars, and community outreach programs to raise awareness of holistic healthcare. She has been featured on television segments, published articles in local newspapers, and served as Vice President of the Florida Naturopathic Physicians Association through 2023.

A member of multiple professional organizations, Teresa stays current with the latest research and evidence-based approaches to provide the highest standard of nutrition care.
Outside of her practice, Teresa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, introducing her toddler to nutritious foods, animals, and the outdoors. She loves hiking, runs 5Ks, and maintains a consistent strength-training routine to support her own health and wellness.
